1. Close to 400 students from 15 secondary schools participated in the Cultural Heritage Walk on 21 October 2023, where they explored Singapore’s culturally significant landmarks in Bukit Pasoh and Chinatown, such as the Pioneers’ Memorial Hall and Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum.
2. Jointly organised by the Committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning (CPCLL) and the Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations (SFCCA), the 6th edition of the Walk aims to promote appreciation and understanding of the various ethnic communities’ heritage in the Bukit Pasoh and Chinatown area among students. The physical guided tour returned this year after a three-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, students participated in interactive activities organised by 12 participating cultural and religious organisations. 3. Guest-of-Honour Mr Ng Siew Quan, Secretary-General of SFCCA and Chairman of Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre, presented certificates of appreciation to the participating cultural and religious organisations at the event.
