Mathlympics is a math competition started by ACS(I), now organized by Learners connection. These events celebrate young math talents, promoting healthy competition and teamwork. Overall, Mathlympics helps students build a strong math foundation for harder problems.
Who is it for?
If you’re a student in Primary 5 or below, attending a local Singapore school, you can join this competition.
How can you participate?
Mathlympics is a school-based competition, so you’ll need to sign up through your school – no independent registrations allowed.
Categories
Mathlympics include competitions in Algebra, Geometry, Number Theory, Combinatorics, and Discrete Mathematics. These categories assess students’ abilities to modify equations, apply geometric theorems, understand integer properties, counting principles, as well as reason with discrete structures. Mathlympics participants are encouraged to develop broad mathematical understanding and creative problem-solving skills.

Calculators may NOT be used. Only right answers will be marked. No marks will be deducted for incorrect or unattempted responses. All organizer and judge decisions are final.

The completed form must be submitted through their respective schools before 20th February 2023.
The test is held on 6th July 2023.
The Awards are held on 31 July 2023.
Prize and Award Recognition
The top 3 winners will get prizes, and so will the top 3 students from each of the 4 school areas.

As this is a school based competition, the teacher receives the following awards as a token of appreciation for all of the help and guidance they have given their students.

Each of the top three schools (excluding the Champion and Runner-Up schools) with the most total medals will be honored with a School Distinction Trophy.
The Champion School will keep the Challenge Trophy and return it to Learners’ Connections Pte Ltd for the next competition. The Challenge Trophy will be kept forever by the school that wins it three years in a row.
