2.TAIJI
Tai Chi is one of the best forms of
exercise for the young and old. It is rich in cultural heritage, containing the
essence of Chinese culture, infusing Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism, and
incorporating Chinese medical theories and martial arts applications in its
foundation. Through the practice of taiji, one develops flexibility, strength,
coordination, focus, balance, breathing, and achieves the stimulation of the
brain. The effects of Taiji includes fitness, health, self-cultivation, body
sculpting, self-defense, while bringing pleasure to the practitioner and has
entertainment value for observers.
A large number of eastern and western
scientific reports also confirmed that tai chi improves balance, strengthens
limbs and flexibility, helps in avoiding falls, and slows the effects of
dementia etc.
CHEN STYLE
HUNYUAN TAIJI
Chen Style Xinyi Hunyuan Taiji (referred
as Hunyuan Taijiquan) is an excellent martial art system created by Master Feng
Zhiqiang, the disciple of Chen Fake and Hu Yaozhen. The Hunyuan taijiquan is
the combination of both Chen-style Taijiquan and Xinyiquan. Hunyuan Taijiquan
emphasizes on Dan Tian rotation and sinking movements (body to sink and relax,
hence allowing our QI to properly sink to the Dan Tian) before carrying out every
move.
It has structured training forms start
with bare-hand forms (24 & 48 steps. 32 & 46 steps cannon), weapon
forms (sword & broadsword), single repetitive techniques and push hands.
