1.Learn to Swim - Discovery
18 months
to 6 years
In the discovery phase, learners will be
taught that water has its rules and acquiring the fundamental water skills of
buoyancy, balance and aquatic breathing will enable them to have fun safely in
this environment.
Toddler (18 months to 36 months)
This is the starting point where the
little ones are introduced to the water environment. Teaching them to be
comfortable getting wet, keeping balance in water, safe entries and exits,
going underwater, staying afloat and swimming to safety.
Preparatory (3 years to 4 years)
This is the stage where the confident 3
to 4 years old continue to practice their fundamental water skills. Refining
their gross motor skills to propel themselves in the water and to safety
efficiently.
Beginner (4 years to 6 years)
This is the stage where beginner will
learn all the fundamental water skills to be water confident and water safe.
Learning Outcomes:

Floating
independently.

Blow bubbles. (Nose
& mouth)

Bobbing.

Basic propulsion.

2.Learn to Swim - Kicker
6 years onwards
In the kicker phase, learners will learn
the proper technique of using their legs and hands to generate propulsion.
Elementary
This is the stage where a confident
beginner will learn the fundamental swimming skills to be ready for stroke
learning.
Learning Outcomes:

Streamlining with
propulsion.
·
Propulsion over a
short distance. (Front & Back)
·
Gross arm
movements.
·
Sculling.

3.Endurance
Strokes
Practice.
This is the next stage progression where
swim drills practice and cardio-muscular development are the essential focus
needed to transform their raw swimming style to one that is much more refine.
This is the start in developing their swimming endurance needed to swim efficiently
over a longer distance.
Teaching of fundamental swimming and
kicking drills that will develop their foundational muscular strength and
techniques.
This foundational work focus on
increasing their ability to swim in greater efficiency.
Main Focus:
Development of the Butterfly movement
pattern and coordination. - Building of basic swimming fitness. (Freestyle and
Back kicks)
Training together as a group. (Training
Etiquette)
Swim Distance: 800m to 1200m/session.

seek to Develop, Cultivate and Build our young swimmers in 3 levels.
1. Basic Competitive Swimming Skills, Techniques and Rules.
2. Foundational Personal Physical Fitness.
3. Sportsmanship Values.
This is the stage where swimmers begin to
learn the fundamentals of swim training. It is the essential stage that where
their efficient swimming form will be developed fully for the enjoyment of a
lifelong participation in swimming and water sports.
Objectives:
Develop, Cultivate and Build:
a. Basic Competitive Swimming Skills and
Techniques.
b. Fundamental core physical fitness for
active well-being. c. Proficiency in all 4 swimming strokes.
d. Basic Starts (Dive) and Turns.
e. Personal Water Survival.
f. Team training experience.
