Leisure/ Junior Piano

Learning the piano reaps many benefits; it develops eye-hand coordination, fine motor skills, patience and increases cognitive development.

In this course, you will learn the fundamentals of music and play simple tunes. Learners progress in their own musical style by choosing from lists of pieces carefully selected by our piano experts, including specially commissioned pieces by contemporary composers. Our teachers are dedicated to provide effective guides to kick start your musical journey.

The ABRSM Piano examination consists of three pieces, chosen by the candidate from the current syllabus, scales and arpeggios/broken chords, sight-reading and aural tests.

Classical Piano

In this course, you will gain musical knowledge such as scales and arpeggios, sight-reading, aural skills, and playing repertoire We prepare our students for the ABRSM Piano examination for Grade 1 to Grade 8, and also the GCE O Level Music Elective.

Trinity Rock & Pop Keyboards Examination

Rock & Pop Keyboards exams help you develop important playing skills and techniques including rhythms in different keys, pedalling, and scale passages, while playing the songs you love. Song lists include music from Adele, Stevie Wonder, Muse, Elton John, and Alicia Keys.

Classical Clarinet

The clarinet produces a sweet mellow melody. In this course, our dedicated and experienced teachers will teach the proper breathing, tonguing and fingering techniques of playing the clarinet.

ABRSM Clarinet Examination

The ABRSM Clarinet examination consist of three pieces, chosen by the candidate from the current syllabus, scales and arpeggios, sight-reading and aural tests.

Leisure Drum

Set the beat and unleash the drummer in you. If you are a complete beginner/have no prior experience, fret not! In this course, you will learn to read the drum scores, develop a proper grip, recognise fundamental rhythm, drum rudiments, fills pattern and improve your overall coordination. As you progress, you can learn different styles and take the graded exam offered by Trinity College London (TCL).

Trinity Rock & Pop Drums Examination

Rock & Pop Drums exams help you improve key playing skills and techniques including tempos and strokes, paradiddles, flams, and ratamacues, while playing the music you love. Song lists include music from David Bowie, Foo Fighters, Queen, The White Stripes, and Michael Jackson.

Classical Guitar

In this course, you will learn the different techniques of playing such as picking and plucking, fingerstyle, strumming, palm mute, etc. You will also learn the different styles of playing such as classical, blues, rock and jazz.

Who doesn’t enjoy singing to the accompaniment of the guitar? The Strum & Sing Guitar course is the ideal course for individuals who enjoys pop music and singing. In this course, you will learn the different rhythmic patterns, chord progressions and vocal techniques. This course will definitely be fun and enjoyable as you will learn to play evergreen tunes and also songs that you like.

The ABRSM Guitar examination consists of three pieces, chosen by the candidate from the current syllabus, scales and arpeggios, sight-reading and aural tests.

Trinity Rock & Pop Guitar Examination

Rock & Pop Guitar examination help you develop essential skills and techniques including basic chords and positions, hammer-ons and pull-offs, and bends, while playing the music you love. Song lists include music from The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Coldplay, Amy Winehouse, AC/DC, and Arcade Fire.

Music theory is the study of the grammar of music, the fundamental tenet of a balanced music education. Music theory examines the elements that construct a piece of music, including notation, key signatures, time signatures, and chord progressions. A clear understanding of how the piece is constructed helps us learn faster, much like how knowing a street map enables us to drive more efficiently.
This course will introduce students to the fundamentals of musical concepts, equipping them with skills to interpret and translate into sounds.
Students may also prepare for graded music theory exam based on the syllabus by Associated Board of Royal School of Music (ABRSM). The exams gives students opportunities to acquire:
·       a knowledge of the notation of western music, including the signs and terminology commonly employed
·       an understanding of fundamental musical elements such as intervals, keys, scales and chords.
·       skills in constructing balanced rhythmic patterns or completing given melodic or harmonic structures
·       an ability to apply theoretical knowledge and understanding to score analysis.
