1.IB Tuition for Arts
MusicMusic is called the language of the soul by many people. IB Music is designed to help Music students explore the diversity of Music throughout the world and develop an ability to appreciate and perform a variety of musical forms.There is no fixed course or modules for IB Music and the teacher is allowed considerable liberty in choice of course as long as it meets the assessment criteria of the IB Music Program. Some degree of musical perception and analysis, individual or group work relating to a performance and independent research for Musical investigation is required.Due to the freedom provided to the teacher in designing the program, we don’t offer group classes for the subject. All classes are one-on-one and the students are coached and mentored to ensure they are able to meet or exceed their school teacher’s expectations. We are the only tuition centre in Singapore offering IB Music tuition.FilmFilm is perhaps the most powerful medium for exchange of ideas. The goal of IB Film course is to coach students to analyse and make film texts. This is achieved by exploring topics in Film history, theory, and socio-economic background. Students are encouraged to consider same texts from multiple perspectives to gain an international understanding of the subject.IB Film can be taken at both HL and SL level. A HL student is allowed more time to develop textual analysis, theoretical understanding and creative skills. Students who wish to continue pursuing Film in university would do well to take HL while IB Film SL students will just want to gain a basic understanding of the subjects and will not pursue the course beyond the IB Diploma level.

2.IB Tuition For Biology
Biology is the study of life and living organisms. It is, perhaps, the oldest of all sciences as men has been exploring nature since the dawn of civilization. Topics as diverse as classification of living organisms to the study of genetics fall under the purview of this fascinating branch of science.IB Biology is an introductory high school course which serves as an introduction to Biology and prepares students for higher level courses. Focus is placed on developing the ability to understand, recall and articulate biological concepts.IB Biology can be undertaken at both SL (Standard level) and HL (Higher level). According to IB Biology guide, students with no previous exposure to a subject should be able to handle the subject at Standard level but will find it difficult to adjust if they take Higher Level.At student’s Inn, we prepare students for examination regardless of their previous exposure. Through a regime of intensive coaching and practice through propriety material, we are able to not only bring about improvements in grades but also develop interest in the subject. IB Tuition in Singapore is not a very competitive business. Due to the practical nature of IB Biology, the teacher not only needs a thorough understanding of the subject but also of the IB Syllabus. It is also mandatory for the teacher to understand the overall philosophy of the Diploma program to be able to link various concepts to TOK and other subjects. 5.IB Tuition For Economics
Economics is the study of production, distribution and allocation of resources. Economic lessons can be applied in a diverse range of fields in real life. It explains phenomena as diverse as progress of nations to choice of one brand of chocolate over another in a grocery shop.IB Economics is an introductory Economics course for the high school level. It serves as an introduction to Economics and builds foundations for higher level courses. The focus is on applying Micro and Macro Economic theories to real life issues such as dynamic nature of commodity and other markets around the world, economic development, and environmental sustainability among others. Modern Economic theory stems out of a desire to ground Economic models in rigorous mathematics, not much different from the sciences. The new IB Syllabus recognizes that and some mathematical models are now introduced in the course (for first examination in 2013). This makes the new syllabus is significantly more challenging than the previous year’s syllabi.IB Economics can be taken at both higher (HL) and standard (SL) level. Higher level Economics is more suited for students who have had some previous exposure in Economics in the MYP or in IGCSE. It prepares students well for further economic studies at college level. Standard level, on the other hand, is more suited for students just looking for an introduction to this fascinating subject and do not want to continue studying Economics as a subject at undergraduate level.In line with requirements of the new syllabus, we at Student’s Inn have prepared a structured program for all students. The tutors will first go over the topics in class and then discuss some sample questions. Techniques to answer questions that appear more frequently than the others are discussed and students practice identifying graphs in several possible situations. Care is taken to ensure that interesting examples are discussed in class that create and sustain interest in the topic. 6.IB Tuition For English
English is called the universal language. It is the dominant language of international discourse and IB, being an international diploma, requires mastery of this language. If a student is not fluent in English, he won’t only earn a bad score in the subject but will also be disadvantaged in other subjects that require fluency in English like History, Business and Management, Economics and even the Sciences.
IB English (A):IB English can be taken as IB English (A) Literature at higher (HL) or Standard (SL) level. IB English (A) is a pre-university course in literature. IB English (A) HL targets students who will go on to take literature as a major in university while IB English (A) SL is for those students who will not continue studying literature beyond the Diploma program. IB recommends that this should only be taken by students who have been exposed to English since a young age and English is the main mode of communication at home.At Student’s Inn, we aim to enhance understanding of the subject and ability to analyse and critique works of literature. We focus on teaching students how to identify the parts of literature such as the plot, theme or literary devices used in the work. They are encouraged to engage the characters in the work to make it more interesting and to ease analysis. They are also exposed to different interpretation of each work under study.To the best of our knowledge, we are the only tuition centre in Singapore to prepare and provide notes for any work of literature that the student decides to study. Our teachers painstakingly go over each work to prepare an outline, summary and analysis of the literature chosen to ensure maximum grades for the students.IB English (B):IB English (B) can also be taken at both higher (HL) and Standard (SL) level. The aim of this course is to promote listening, reading, writing and speaking skills. After the course, the student should be able to converse fluently in English and be able to use it in familiar and unfamiliar situations. Subtleties of the language in wide variety of contexts, including literature, are explored. That course targets students who don’t have English as their first language but have exposure to the language.At Student’s Inn, we provide comprehensive resources for students taking English Language B. Our tutors ensure that the students have sufficient fluency in the language to be able to handle the demands of the course. We focus on both conversational and written English to meet the needs of the course. Students are also taught to analyse pieces of literature via inference, and by decoding connotations.

Extended essay is an essential component of the IB Diploma program. Students cannot graduate unless the extended essay is of satisfactory quality. IB Extended essay is essentially an in-depth and focused study of a selected topic chosen from a list of approved diploma program subjects. It covers everything from topology of regions to hazards and risk management.IB Geography is an introductory course that aims to highlight interactions between society and geography of a region. The History syllabus comprises of an in-depth study of a prescribed subject and selection of two topics. Students can choose to cover the main developments in the history of Europe and the Islamic world or to cover main developments in 20th century World History. HL Students select from a range of optional syllabi to cover a wider time span encouraging depth and breadth.We offer both group and ad-hoc classes. Almost all IB subjects have some form of internal assessments that are, as the name suggests, internally assessed and only moderated by IB. They are generally an opportunity for most students to display higher level thinking than they are able to in other classwork.At Student’s Inn, we provide tutoring for all internal assessments. The tutors help the students by focusing the assessment and breaking it down into sizable parts that can be done in a structured and efficient manner. Help is provided throughout the program to ensure maximum possible grades for the student.Business:We provide tuition for written commentary for standard level (SL) students and research project for higher level (HL) students. We can recommend companies for students who are unable to contact someone on their own. A few days’ notice is all that is required. We are the only IB tuition centre in Singapore to provide this service.Economics:We provide tuition for written commentaries. Our tutors can recommend the article you want to analyse, discuss it with you and review your work to polish it. Languages can be taken at higher (HL), standard (SL) and ab-initio level. Higher level is for students who want to immerse themselves in the language and have had significant exposure to the language in the past. At higher level, the student is exposed to a variety of literary works and is required to develop the ability to critique and analyse. Standard level aims to enhance fluency and create the ability to confidently use the language in familiar and unfamiliar situations. Ab-initio level focuses on practical use of language. Subtleties of the language are ignored.SpanishThe most widely spoken romance language in the world is considered the easiest language to master for English speakers. We have IB trained, native speakers for Spanish.FrenchThe second most widely spoken romance language is considered the language of love. Our French tutor has been teaching IB French for a long time and has an excellent track record of improving scores in IB.ChineseThe language spoken by the people of country with the highest population in the world is one of the most popular choices in IB Diploma program in Singapore. 12.IB Tuition for Mathematics
Mathematics is the language of nature. The elegance of mathematics has no parallel in any other subjects. Its ability to express even the most intricate of problems in a few words is unparalleled in any other subject. Many believe that if we ever meet sentient life in the universe, we will be able to understand each other through Mathematics, hence the title of universal language.IB Mathematics is a high school course which covers the fundamentals of Mathematics. It is a fairly challenging course but has the potential to increase score with proper coaching.IB Mathematics can be undertaken at four different levels. Mathematics Studies SL is suitable for those students who have only the most basic understanding of Mathematics and don’t want to pursue a subject requiring Mathematics in the future, for example the visual arts. Mathematics SL (Standard level) is for students who have some training and have some exposure to solving Mathematical problems. This course will prepare students well for subjects that require a firm grasp of Mathematical concepts such as Business, Economics, or psychology. Mathematics HL (Higher level) requires a firm grasp of Mathematical concepts and aptitude in the subject. Majority of HL students go on to university to either pursue Mathematics as a major or as a major component of some other course such as Engineering or Physics.Mathematics HL is looked upon very favourably by most university as it is a fairly challenging course. Finally, IB Further Mathematics SL is the most challenging Mathematical course. Suitable for the numerically inclined, who want to take their understanding of the subject to the next level, Further Mathematics SL requires dedication, natural aptitude and proper tutoring.At student’s Inn, we prepare students for all four examinations regardless of their previous exposure. Due to the nature of the subject, it is best learned over a long period of time with regular practice. Students who try to finish the course in last few months can see improvement with dedicated tuition but the gains will be limited, especially if the Student doesn’t have a natural aptitude for the subject.IB Mathematics Tuition in Singapore is taught by a few tuition centres but none of them have the amount of resources that we provide. Due to the difference in syllabus of four “flavours” of Mathematics, a unique and different approach is required for each level. With proper training, a tutor can impart the basic concepts and knowledge of the subjects but he will fail to coach students in the specific skills needed to excel in IB exams. Going to normal tuition centres for IB Mathematics is not a good idea due to big difference between the IB and other High School Syllabi.We approach IB Mathematics tuition in a methodological and structured manner. We focus on improving the student’s skills with calculators and Algebra in general. They are then coached on harder problems and problem solving algorithms are then discussed. 15.IB Tuition For TOK
Theory of knowledge is perhaps, the most unique aspect of the IB Program. The goal of this subject is to encourage thinking about knowledge itself. Questions such as, “Whether it is ‘ethical’ to kill a man to save life of several others?” and “How do we know whether what we perceive is real or it is just the work of some supernatural entity bent on deceiving us?” fall under the purview of this extremely interesting course. In some ways, it can be considered an introduction to philosophy. The subject not only fosters internationalism but also create informed citizens who are able to make informed and conscious choices in life. TOK is compulsory for all IB students and the TOK essay is a mandatory component of the diploma program. A student will not be awarded the diploma unless he/she produced a satisfactory TOK essay.At Student’s Inn, we conduct both regular and ad-hoc classes to help with essays. We have a structured program for our regular TOK students. The tutor will go over the basic theories and discuss various ways of knowing and areas of knowledge with the students. They are then taught to formulate knowledge issues and write structured prose to discuss them. During ad-hoc classes, our tutors will help formulate the knowledge issues and discuss it in depth with the student. The tutors critique the student’s work and give suggestions to help them improve the essay. Finally, a review is then done to ensure that nothing is missed out and the student can get the best possible marks. Like for all our other subjects, our teachers have extensive experience in teaching IB. Our current TOK teacher is an IB Examiner and has extensive experience with the subject.
