1.Beginner & RAD Pre-Primary Ballet Classes for Children
Our unique Beginner Ballet programme for younger children was devised by our Principal, Ms. Tan, to cater to the needs & interests of kids in nursery & kindergarten who love to dance. Development of self-confidence, postural awareness, gross and fine motor skills, response to music, creative expression, and introduction of basic ballet steps are key features of our pre-school ballet & dance curriculum. We provide an enjoyable and semi-structured learning environment, where boys & girls shall grow & thrive. Our Beginner Ballet lessons are 45 minutes in duration, and are conducted once-a-week. This early learning programme provides a secure foundation in the basics of dance & movement skills & aesthetics, at an impressionable age, so that the students may confidently progress to the RAD Grades Ballet syllabus at Pre-Primary in Dance (PPID) level, at the completion of Beginner Ballet Year 2.
BEGINNER BALLET YEAR 1 (2022/23) NEW CLASS: A Beginner Ballet Year 1 new class has commenced on Saturday 2nd April 2022, at the start of our school’s ballet learning year. Boys & Girls age 4 & above as of 31st Dec 2022 are age-eligible & welcome to enroll now. Lesson schedule is Saturday at 10.00 to 10.45 a.m.. Class size is capped due to our Safe Management Measures (SMMs). Contact us asap to arrange for a Trial Lesson (fee payable) & enrollment.
BEGINNER BALLET YEAR 2 (2022/23) CLASS: Vacancies are available in this on-going ballet class, for kids age 5+ & above, who have some ballet/dance experience &/0r transferable skills from other movement disciplines. Lesson schedule is Saturday at 12.15 to 1.00 p.m. Class size is capped due to our SMMs.
We recommend that all interested & age-eligible kids start with us when a new class commences, so as to benefit from the full range of learning experience of the curriculum. In view of prevailing SMMs, an appointment should be made for a visit, a trial lesson, for enrolment + measurement of ballet class uniform etc.

2.RAD Grades Ballet Syllabus Classes
Royal Academy of Dance promotes knowledge, understanding and practice of dance internationally. We seek to accomplish our mission through promoting dance, educating and training students and teachers and providing examinations to reward achievement. (Courtesy of the Royal Academy of Dance)
Our school offers RAD Grades & RAD Higher Grades ballet syllabus classes and training towards the RAD suite of examinations. Our students are encouraged to stretch their potential, develop their talents, and work towards success via the RAD Class Awards, Solo Performance Awards, and the formal Examinations. Some of our top candidates have been awarded perfect scores in the RAD exams. We are delighted for our students’ annual passing rate of 100% Distinction & Merit. The education through dance that we offer includes the RAD PPID (Pre-Primary in Dance), RAD PID (Primary in Dance), and the RAD Grades 1 to 8 Ballet syllabus classes. The PPID and PID syllabi build on younger children’s interest to move & dance, and follow on from our Beginner Ballet entry-level curriculum. The RAD Grades Ballet syllabus through to the Grade 8 Award incorporates Free Movement and Character Dance. Learning the styles & nuances of other dance genres allow our students to enrich & expand their dance horizons.
Private Ballet Lessons may be arranged for students who wish to personalise their learning, and benefit from one-to-one individual coaching. Private lessons are tailored to each student’s personal goals, and may be useful as value-added preparation for examinations, coaching towards auditions, and training towards competitions.

3.RAD Vocational & Discovering Repertoire Ballet Classes
Students of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Vocational Grades & Discovering Repertoire ballet examination syllabus classes are pre-professional dancers with substantial prior training in classical ballet. A high-level of instruction & commitment are required for success at these RAD levels, and this may pave the way towards careers in dance & the performing arts.
We offer RAD Vocational ballet lessons at Intermediate Foundation to RAD Advanced 2 levels. Subject to response, we shall also offer the new RAD Discovering Repertoire ballet syllabus, as an alternative pathway for ballet learning & achievement. Private Lessons are available for students who wish to tailor learning to their individual goals & timelines, to support training towards an examination, audition or competition.
For female dancers, the Vocational & Repertoire syllabi place emphasis on elegant virtuosity & pointe work, while pirouettes and allegro (turns and jumps) are a distinctive focal point of training for male dancers. Our Principal Ms. Tan initiated & organised for a group of our Vocational-level ballet students to attend events of the RAD Genee International Dance Competition in Sydney Australia, in December 2016. The students’ learning experience included a mini summer intensive at the Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy, inclusive of Ballet, Progressing Ballet Technique, Contemporary Dance and Russian Character Dance.
