Know more1.Secondary School Maths Programme
In Mathnasium’s secondary school programme, students master computation and problem solving with rational numbers, i.e., fractions, decimals, and percentages, as part of the process of algebra readiness—preparing for first-year algebra. This creates a solid mathematical foundation for future subjects such as geometry, trigonometry, and calculus.
Secondary school students engage one to one with our instructors in a unique combination of mental, verbal, visual, tactile, and written exercises. Basic maths concepts and skills are blended with a programme specifically designed to help students build number sense. This special programme shows them how and why the useful number rules they’re learning work so they are able to understand how they can be applied to interesting areas such as computer science, biology, and psychology.
Students are evaluated with a written and verbal assessment unique to Mathnasium. Based on the results, we develop a custom-tailored programme designed to close any educational gaps they may have so they can jump ahead when they’re ready for advanced maths challenges.
Secondary school maths builds upon elementary maths’ foundation and focuses on explaining why mathematical rules work so that children learn and understand the rules, not just memorise them.
We also help students understand their homework as part of each session and prepare them for school tests, as well as standardised tests such as school entrance exams.

2.PSLE Preparation – Advanced Learning Plan
Mathnasium’s curriculum is designed to support the Singapore maths curriculum, whilst retaining topics that are taught by international schools. Learning is customised to meet the needs of each student, taught personally with no classes. We are now offering the Advanced Learning Program, which is a PSLE preparation program providing students the opportunity to supplement their reasoning, heuristic and problem solving skills.
LOCAL SCHOOL STUDENTS
Mathnasium offers students in Singapore's local schools a program that is designed to support the MOE syllabus and that combines all the advantages of Mathnasium’s teaching approach with Singapore schools exam style questions. Our program provides a particularly strong approach to PSLE preparation. In general students will undertake the Advanced Learning Program if they are in P4, preparing them for the PSLE through exam style questions which supplement Mathnasium's core program
We will initially assess your child to establish how best to meet their learning needs. For children testing at P3 level or below, we will focus on the Mathnasium program to ensure we have closed gaps. Once they are at P4 level or above, we will introduce them to our Advanced Learning Program, which will include exam style questions for part of each Mathnasium session.

3.Primary School /K2 Maths Programme
At Mathnasium, we know how vital learning maths is in primary school - it forms the foundation for all your child‘s future maths studies. To make it understandable, we take an orderly, logical approach to teaching it to your child.
We begin with computation and problem solving using whole numbers, and then move on to computation and problem solving with rational numbers—fractions, decimals, percentages, and negative numbers. (Interesting fact: In maths, the word “rational” comes from the mathematical term “ratio.” It has nothing to do with being reasonable.)
This foundation we give them is essential for the more advanced concepts which they will encounter in secondary school.
