Institution has produced hundreds of young black belts over the years. As a
result, we also offer intermediate, advanced, and “black belts only” classes
for children who have earned higher ranks in Taekwondo so that they can be
challenged appropriately and learn the more complex aspects of this martial
art.

2.T-Kids 5-10 years old
Our T-Kids program is
Singapore’s leading martial arts program for children between ages 5 to 10
years old. The classes are fun, challenging, and goal-oriented.
T-Kids is a comprehensive
and intuitive programme that introduces children to the fundamentals of
Taekwondo, and its practical application to self-defense.
Under the guidance of our
inspirational and passionate instructors, our innovative system of
achievement-based rewards allows each child to progress at his or her own pace
or push themselves beyond their limits.
At the J H Kim Taekwondo
Institute, martial arts training is more than kicking, punching, and earning
belts. The T-Kids programme enforces discipline, builds confidence, and teaches
each child to maintain a positive attitude and achieve their personal goals.

3.Taekwon Tots 3-5 years old
Our Taekwon Tots program is
segmented into age-specific modules that consist of exercises, games, and
drills to complement each child during their development. These modules have
been specifically designed using scientific and psychological resources to cater
to children between these tender ages so that they can experience training that
enhances their motor skills, cognitive development, and social skills.
The classes are small, with
a maximum 5 students to one instructor in each class. This is to ensure each
child receives optimal attention. With caring and supportive instructors as
their role models, your child’s first exposure to martial arts training will
bring positive results that resonate beyond the training hall.

4.Teen-Kwondo 11-16 years old
Teenage years are tough.
Teens begin to assert themselves as independent individuals whilst dealing with
social and emotional challenges. Our special Teen-KwonDo classes allow
teenagers to train together in an enjoyable social environment that also
provides structure and discipline for healthy emotional and psychological
expression.
Our Teen-Kwondo syllabus
allows teenagers to experience the various facets of Taekwondo, e.g. Sport
Taekwondo and the traditional martial art style, with the goal of identifying
and nurturing them into well-rounded martial artists.
For mature teenagers who
are ready to undertake the challenges of the full adult Taekwondo curriculum,
we allow them to participate in specific adult classes to widen their
understanding of this martial art.
