1.MOE Courses - Primary School Course
Primary
School programmes range from Primary 1 to Primary 6.
Our courses are based on a
proprietary syllabus approved by the Ministry of Education (MOE) of Singapore.
Students will progress from simple to more complex Chinese characters and move
towards applying and analyzing them. In this stage, learning is more intensive,
and we use more interactive teaching techniques and encourage collaborative
learning. We designed the courses to meet the needs of different age groups and
abilities. All classes are fun and engaging.
This programme is based on
the latest MOE syllabus with a focus on language skills including Listening,
Speaking, Reading and Writing.
This
encompasses:

2.Playgroup
IYU provides playgroups
classes that are designed for 18 to 36 months of toddlers. Parents and careers
can get together with their young children for a couple of hours each week to
connect, learn through play, and most importantly, have fun. Essentially, a playgroup
is one of the first and most important social networks for children and
families. Creative and unstructured learning through play is essential to the
development of young children, helping them explore and understand their world.
At playgroup, there are a
variety of activities involving craft, singing, movement, emotional, indoor and
outdoor play, Chinese drama, and storytelling. At playgroup, families can learn
new ideas for playing at home, make new friends and share their experiences in
a relaxed environment. The benefits of playgroup are seen across all domains of
child development: physical, social, emotional, language, and cognitive
development and communication.
