The duration of our
swimming class is kept short to cater to the learning style of every little
child. Parents are encouraged to participate and assist in lessons to make your
babies feel more comfortable, reduce the feeling of strange and separation
anxiety. Hence, they will be able to adapt quickly to the new environment in
the pool as well as our instructors way faster!
HOW DO WE TEACH BABIES TO
SWIM?
With many years of
teaching experience since 2007, Happy Fish has developed a highly effective
teaching system that has successfully taught thousands of children how to swim
with confidence. Following an engaging and fun curriculum, one can expect a
pleasant learning experience which produces tangible results.
Classes at Happy Fish are usually
ongoing in order to develop a good consistent routine in our students. This
also enables them to be able to minimize disruption, while promoting
progression. Every stage is expected to last about 3 to 6 months, with some of
the key milestones being:
1.
Water Familiarization – Explore the water safely and
confidently
2.
Breath Control – Hold breath on command to be ready for
submersion
3.
Submersion – Explore underwater safely and confidently
4.
Free Floating – Discover buoyancy and freedom of floating
without assistance
5.
Propulsion – Proper kicking and paddling method to propel
through the water
6.
Independent Swimming – Ability to change breath to swim for
longer distance

2.Toddler (2-4 Years)
Young
children learn to swim better in a happy environment, that is why they should
come to Happy Fish. Introducing swimming to your young children helps them to
prepare for proper swimming and leads them to healthy lifestyle! More
importantly, it can help save lives. We are aware of their needs as well as
their attention span. Having classes with a shorter duration can improve their
focus and develop a willing to learn attitude. Furthermore, a smaller class
size would ensure that equal attention is given to each of them.
DEVELOPMENT
It’s
ideal to cultivate a positive attitude when young. By providing your child with
swimming lessons, it can teach them to lead a healthy lifestyle. This is
important as kids tend to pick things up when they are young. By teaching them
to lead a healthy lifestyle from young, it helps to develop a positive
character in the future.
CHILD’S
EXPERIENCE
Our
toddler aquatic specialists are committed to ensure a comfortable learning
experience for you and your child. We have specially designed our syllabus in a
step-by-step manner to cater to young children’s ability. For parents who
prefer a more personal class, they have the option of choosing a private
lesson. This gives your child full attention for 30 minutes. On the other hand,
for parents who prefer their child to share the joy and experience with other
toddlers, the group lessons await them!
WHAT

TRAUMA-FREE SUBMERSION

confidence in submerging underwater.

and exit the pool, swim around safely and respect the depth of water.

3.Kid (5-12 Years)
ALL
WORK AND NO PLAY MAKES JACK A DULL BOY
Research shows that
regular swimming increases oxygen delivery to the brain. By having a good time
swimming, your child will be able to focus on daily activities and study more
efficiently! This is the secret of champion kids. At Happy Fish, we believe
that learning to swim should promote lifelong skills and be fun! We love to
swim, and our goal is to teach our students to love it too!
ESSENTIAL SKILL
Today, swimming is
regarded as an essential skill and is included as part of the national
curriculum. One of the most popular sports in the country, it may be executed
for recreational purposes, as a competitive activity or for more adventurous
purposes such as swimming in open waters.
OPPORTUNITY TO TAKE PART
IN SWIMSAFER CERTIFICATION
Our kids’ swimming lessons
are designed to start with learn to swim using Happy Fish method. Once the
children attained proficient in swimming skills, children will be able to
choose to take part in SwimSafer assessment, designed to help children in
developing water survival and life-saving skill.

4.SPECIAL NEEDS SWIMMING LESSONS
We conduct swimming lessons for autistic, cerebral palsy & other developmentally challenged children. The class is conducted in individual lesson where our instructors can give full attention to the student. Swimming lessons help children with learning challenges in physical, social and emotional development. It also promoted self-esteem, happiness and can lead to positive social outcomes. This group of children requires patient understanding as well as a well-thought plan on the lessons for them to adapt well. Parents involvement in the lesson for group class is necessary.
