Fishlike International was started by Master Coach Fish Tang in 1998. We are the only licensed Total Immersion (TI) swim school in Singapore, and one of very few in Asia. Our aim is to bring Total Immersion techniques and principles to swimmers of all backgrounds and ages in Asia

1.Starfish Explorer
Crash
Course in Water Confidence for 4-6 Year Olds
Starfish Explorer is a
crash course in water confidence and comfort for kids who have never swum or
taken regular swim classes before. It is the perfect way to prepare your young
ones for a lifetime of comfort and enjoyment in the water.
Over the years we have
realized that the best way to for young kids to learn to swim is to spend short
periods of time in the water very regularly, under the guidance of an expert
coach. That’s why we’ve structured the Starfish Explorer program as a 5-day
crash course with short daily swims. Each day we spend 30-45 minutes in the
water, getting your child familiar with how to float, breathe and move
themselves around using their arms and legs.
Learning a little bit
every day helps children retain and practice their knowledge and skills more
easily, and gives them time to get accustomed to being in the water under
supervision. In less than a week we can get your kids water-ready and excited
to join regular group swim classes (like our Super Swim Kids program).
WHO
4-6 y/o (absolute minimum
3.5 years of age)

5×1-1 lessons with a coach, covering
the basics of water confidence and safety in a fun and safe environment. We
will teach:

2.Super Swim-Kids
Super
Swim-Kids takes your children from a baseline of zero swimming experience, and
work with them step-by-step to get them to:
·
swim all 4 strokes and 2 lifesaving strokes
·
experience both pool and open water swimming (Levels 4&5)
·
train and compete in all 4 strokes (Level 4 onwards)
·
learn valuable lifesaving skills to keep themselves and others
safe in the water (Level 6)
·
experience live swim events, meets and races (Level 7
onwards)
·
discover and join Tri-Kids, our triathlon program for
children (optional extra bonus)

3.Swim Squad
Competitive
Swimming for 10 Year Olds and Above
Swim Squad is our pre-competitive
program designed to transition kids from regular swimming lessons to
competitive swimming. Competitive swimming is a whole new world, with different
skills and mindset required to find success and enjoyment. Having a dedicated
support network and regular training structure during the transition from
recreational to competitive swimming can help manage stress, build the right habits,
apply and practice proper technique and maintain better performance.
In Swim Squad, we
use Total Immersion principles adapted to competitive swimming to give young
racers an extra edge in swimming efficiency. Participants are expected to train
regularly (2-3 times a week) in order to continuously improve their performance
and track their progress. Training sessions are done in small groups, fostering
discipline, familiarity and team spirit. Kids learn to support each other as
they compete, forming strong friendships that challenge and excite them.
Swim Squad also offers kids and
teens the chance to building up racing experience through mini-races, including
the Warren Golf & Country Club annual meet, in order to prepare to qualify
for the Singapore National Age Group (SNAG) meet. Race day is a novel challenge
for most people—practice and experience are necessary to learn to overcome
nerves and anxiety while still being able to perform your best and enjoy the
event.
If your child loves
swimming, is motivated to seek out new challenges and wants to go beyond what
they think is possible, Swim Squad is the place for them.

4.Tri-Kids
From
5 Years Old Onwards
Tri-Kids (short for
triathlete kids) is our program to nurture and encourage young triathletes. We
train kids as young as 5 to begin their fitness journey by training and
competing in three different sports at the same time. Triathlons are special
because each component requires different skills, techniques and mindset,
offering a chance to excel and challenge yourself in new ways.
Triathlon training also
improves fitness and especially endurance, building the foundation for a healthy
and active life. If you want your kids to get off the couch and off their
devices, you can’t get better than a triple dose of running, swimming and
biking! Learning three different sports together keeps them engaged and
motivated, so they can burn off excess energy while learning important sporting
and movement skills.
Our Tri-Kids program is
both fun and educational, inculcating the values of teamwork, discipline and
personal resilience that will serve your kids for a lifetime. Kids train in a
team and engage with their peers to form supportive friendships. They also
learn to be independent from parents, gaining confidence that they can race and
compete on their own. Tri-Kids is taught in age-appropriate ways, with regular
mini-races and camps to cultivate good fitness habits and encourage progress,
no matter where your kids are at.

5.Mermaid Swimming Lessons For Kids
Mermaids are of course ocean creatures, but Mermaid Swimming can be done in the pool too. Our programs are progressive: we start in a shallow pool to build basic skills, then progress to deep pool and learn diving skills, before going into open water.Mermaid Swimming is suitable for children aged 6+ and adults. It is best for those who are confident swimmers, but if you can’t swim yet, you can work your way through our other programs before joining Mermaid Swimming. All the skills you learn in Mermaid Swimming will support and enhance your overall swim capabilities.
