Explorer Junior

Build your child's interest in coding through our Junior Game Designer (Scratch) program! This course has a total of 6 levels that allows explorers to unleash their creativity and learn basic coding using the Scratch 3.0 platform.

Through different types of game projects, explorers will learn fundamental computational thinking concepts through visual block-based coding and master game design techniques! Beyond just coding, explorers will build logical thinking and problem solving skills as they overcome the challenges to complete their projects.

This program has a total of 6 levels and is recommended for beginners from 7 to 9 years old (with basic IT skills to operate a laptop/computer).

Each level is 12 hours (8 sessions*1.5h or 4 sessions*3h). Children will receive an evaluation and proficiency report at the end of each level. Each child will have their own Scratch accounts and build their portfolios.

Architect + Minecraft = Awesome designing experience! Our Junior Architects will be building different structures and projects in Minecraft Creative mode while learning about architectural theories and styles from around the world!

In each 4-term (8 sessions a term), explorers will be exposed to different building themes with mini-lessons on some real-world architectural examples shared by our coach!

Through projects like building a hotel, or constructing a roller coaster ride, explorers will apply some mathematical and science concepts as they plan out their floor plans or calculate the height of their roller coasters! They will also learn about the history and transformation of architecture from ancient times to modern days and how different cultures have influenced these designs!

Explorers will be given a rubric with the important architectural and historical elements to include in their build. They will share photos of their completed projects with us and the rest of their class!

Is your child losing interest and struggling in Math? This program nurtures your child's interest in Math through a mixture of visual cues, hands-on manipulatives, written activities, and real-life applications.

Explorers will grasp mathematical concepts and gain confidence in solving problems with our program, aligned with the globally recognized Singapore MOE Math Curriculum and learning methodology.

Junior Science is a 2-year program (8 terms) that adopts Explorer Junior's proprietary STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) curriculum. The program aims to provide Explorers with a strong foundation in Science and Inquiry for the primary one and two students before they receive formal Science education in primary three.

The program focuses on nurturing Explorers' curiosity, developing their critical thinking skills, and strengthening their conceptual understanding through hands-on experiences.

We use different manipulatives such as Science experiment set-ups, Snap Circuits, and robots to create engaging and meaningful learning experiences.
