We offer private coaching
taught by our Founders and our team of Private Coaching Instructors, to fully
support our students if they wish to take their dancing to a higher level. With
their extensive experience in coaching students with a detailed, personalized
touch, our private coaching sessions will build our students’ confidence, stage
presence and technical ability.
Private Coaching for the
purpose of:
- DSA admissions
- Focused Technique training,
- Competition solo coaching,
or
- Entry to vocational schools
Here at Ballet Quarter, we do
also offer Private Coaching sessions for Adult students who are keen to improve
on their Ballet technique, form and knowledge. Conducted at a pace most suited

Our Baby Ballet programme is
designed to enhance your child’s social, cognitive and physical development
through movement and music. With a special focus on body coordination, spatial
awareness and musicality, our programme provides the building blocks to a strong
foundation in your child’s dance journey. Our class environment fosters
discipline and self-esteem that translates into a confident and communicative
young dancer.
Students in our Baby Ballet

4.RAD Pre-Primary + Primary

About the Course
Our Pre-Primary and Primary programmes
are based on the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus, which introduces the
fundamentals of classical ballet to students. Fostering the development of your
child’s body awareness, creativity, musicality and understanding of class
etiquette, students will be exposed to basic ballet movement vocabulary as well
as musical vocabulary. Additionally, the curriculum ensures a seamless
transition into more advanced levels of training in ballet and other genres of
dance. We offer formal RAD certification for Primary level through annual
examinations.
Students in our Pre-Primary
and Primary programmes are highly encouraged to perform in both class showcases
and year-end performances.

5.RAD Grade 1 to 5

Our RAD Graded Programmes
provide a comprehensive pathway for students to progressively advance and
refine their classical ballet technique. With an emphasis on building strong
ballet technique, physical strength, flexibility, performance skills and a
wider movement vocabulary, the syllabus exposes students to a higher level of
movement complexity and performative ability at each grade. Consistent
attendance of the programme will culminate in improved posture, increased focus
and discipline for the young student. We offer formal RAD certification (a
globally-recognised qualification) for each grade through annual examinations.

(RAD) -
Founded in 1920 to raise the
standards of dance teaching in the UK, the RAD is a world-leading dance,
education and training organisation, with dance teachers and students across 85
countries, enriching the world's arts and cultural communities.
- Why RAD? -
The syllabus has been
carefully structured to enable students to enjoy a quality learning experience
that is fun and safe, allowing them to progress in stages. Students will then
be able to enter for exams which offers them an opportunity to perform in front
of an examiner, and celebrate their progress. For those planning to study in
the UK, some of the RAD exams can be converted into UCAS points.

6.RAD Vocational

About the Course
Our RAD Vocational Programmes
build on the Graded Programmes with greater intensity and a more in-depth level
of training to hone students’ ballet technique and challenge their physical
strength and flexibility. With an emphasis on pointework, building advanced
ballet vocabulary, performance ability and confidence, students will be
prepared to perform repertoire at a more technically-demanding level. Students
are also expected to be well-versed in free enchainment, the application of
linking movement vocabulary in a short phrase. For students looking to pursue
ballet at a professional level, we also offer support for vocational school
application. We offer formal RAD certification for each level through annual
examinations.

7.Pre-Professional Programme

About the Course
Our Pre-Professional
Programme is taught by our Founders Qi Huan and Ginny Gan, tailored
specifically for students with outstanding potential to pursue ballet at a
professional level. With years of experience as professional dancers, our
Founders’ expertise lends itself to expert competition and performance
coaching. This training programme offers well-supported and holistic training
inclusive of pointe work, pas de deux, and boys’ technique.
We offer three levels in the
programme based on age*:
Pre-Professional I – Ages 8
to 10
Pre-Professional II – Ages 11
to 13
Pre-Professional III – Ages
14 & above
*This serves as a guideline
for entry into the programme. Students will be assessed and placed based on
each individual's calibre.
- PROGRAMME -
Ballet technique classes run
twice a week and students will attend a weekly Strength & Conditioning
(S&C) session to supplement and strengthen their bodies, both to prevent
injuries and improve overall performance in class and on stage. Contemporary
classes are a compulsory add-on for Level II and III students, to ensure
comprehensive exposure to mastering movement control and quality - both of
which are essential to a young dancer's training journey. Level III students
will also experience Repertoire and Pas de deux classes to prepare them
adequately for the stage and performances.
Students under our Founders’
tutelage will be exposed to rigorous and well-paced ballet training that
adequately prepares them for international competitions, entry to vocational
ballet schools and valuable performance opportunities. With an emphasis on dancer-specific
conditioning, both our Founders’ extensive experience in training
pre-professional students in world-class dance institutions ensures quality
instruction and nurtures dancers with an in-depth understanding of their
bodies, strong performance abilities and maturity.

8.Contemporary

About the Course
Our Contemporary Open Classes
explore movement technique with an emphasis on conditioning and varied movement
dynamics to support the development of students’ body and spatial awareness,
agility and versatility in conjunction with their ballet training. Students
will be given the opportunity to hone and explore improvisation techniques to
build confidence, self-expression and variation in movement dynamics.
Classes are open to Ballet
Quarter students ages 12 & above.
