1.Allegro Phonics (3 – 5 years old)
ALLEGRO PHONICS is our signature programme carefully developed by Ms Alethea Ng who has a Certificate in Teaching Phonics with Teacher’s college , UK. The programme is carefully designed to teach children the 44 phoneme sounds of the alphabet. The lessons are based on a multiple intelligence learning approach, classifying the 1 ½ hour lesson into the 4 main categories. Phonics time, Reading time, Activities Time and Craft Time. At the end , the child should read confidently and form simple words into sentences.Phonics Time : Individual sounds are taught through song and dance.Reading Time : Shared reading is nurtured with relation to the sound of the day. Comprehension skills are build up during this time.Activities Time : Fun worksheets are given to students to enable them to reinforce what they have learnt about the sounds.Craft Time : There will be a range of craft activities with relation to the letters to make the learning process fun and memorable.

2.Allegro Preparatory Grammar Programme (6 – 7 years old)
This programme allows the child to build up the necessary skills that are essential to handle the areas of grammar in Primary One. Topics include:- Punctuation

- Adverbs
- Adjectives
- Sentence Rearrangement
Lessons are taught in an engaging manner with many interactive activities to make learning fun and memorable. There will also be books for the children to read aloud to improve their pronunciation, oral reading skills and comprehension.

3.Primary and Secondary Tuition
Our centre aims to be a place where students can improve on their current understanding of the Primary and Secondary curriculum. We provide tuition help in the following subjects.English : To excel in English, it is important to understand the fundamentals or concepts of grammar. Our course will offer a comprehensive teaching in the grammar topics as well as Comprehension practices.Science : Application questions tend to be the hardest for the students to solve as they are faced with difficulty in constructing the answer. Fret Not! Our science worksheets comprised largely of application questions which appears in Section B. The teacher will explain the answers in detail for greater understanding.

4.Allegro Creative Writing Course
This course is targeted to help lower primary and upper primary students in their creative writing. Many children have problems starting an essay and ending the essay. Very often, their ideas are all around , however they are unable to classify and properly plan them properly into the various paragraphs. In this course, the students will learn:- How to start an essay
- The 5 strategies in starting the essay
- How to write a successful conclusion
- Usage of power words and idioms
- The must have checklist for writing
The strategies will be taught over a 8 week period. Following that, students who continue will practice the skills that they have learnt by completing the exam essay questions that are given in schools. In this course, we will also explore the skills in attempting cloze passages and comprehension passages. Idea maps and graphs are used to help the child plan his / her essay in a fun manner before writing into a full length composition.
